Ozark Gateway Master Gardeners are dedicated to helping others learn to grow. We serve all of Jasper County. Our trained volunteers provide the community with current and approved horticulture practices to enhance their home garden, lawn, and landscape.
Registration is now open for the online class to become a certified Missouri Master Gardener beginning August 10th through December 23rd. Fee involved. Contact the Jasper County Extension Office at 417-358-2158 or click the button below.
Our long-term projects that support the community. These may be places to visit, or even opportunities for anyone in the general public to volunteer!
Master Gardeners give presentations to garden clubs and organized groups, perform scheduled seminars, and give various demonstrations.
Master Gardeners plan and implement community projects, conduct library programs, and participate in special events.
Master Gardeners work with numerous community leaders to provide knowledge and skills to serve local communities.
Master Gardeners are required to provide at least 30 service hours within their community.
Opportunities for service are many depending upon the individual's interests and abilities.
Special recognition for individuals completing training and service hours.
To remain an active member of the local Master Gardeners, continuous service activities are required.
